I want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, browser zoom and speech recognition software.
What I’ve tried to do
This website has been built to be simple, readable and lightweight. I’ve aimed to:
- Use clear page structure and headings
- Keep text readable and responsive on different screen sizes
- Make links and buttons clear
- Support keyboard navigation
- Use sensible colour contrast
- Add useful text alternatives where images need them
- Avoid unnecessary animation or distracting effects
- Keep forms simple and labelled clearly
Known issues
I’m not currently aware of any major accessibility issues with this website.
That said, this is a small independent site and it has not had a formal external accessibility audit. If you find something that does not work well, I’d appreciate you telling me.
If you have trouble using the site
If you cannot access something, or if part of the site is difficult to use, email me:
If you can, include:
- The page you were on
- What went wrong
- What device, browser or assistive technology you were using
I’ll do my best to fix the issue or provide the information another way.
Standards
I try to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, currently WCAG 2.2, where practical for this site. WCAG is the common accessibility standard used to assess whether websites are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
